downing centre- yay me

Below are two of my boys gracing the window in the
Downing Centre on Elizabeth St, Sydney.
My gallery just sent me the images and
I'm so happy. Go United! You can go see the works
they are up til the 31st March, I'm heading down at some
point to take some photos that I'll post here.
The work on the left (batman) is called Under
the cover of night you still saw me
, and the one
on the right (superman) is called These are just the
clothes I wear.

These are the first canvas works i have done in

currently working on the second wave of canvas

Above is most of my Honours body of work.
The works dealt with themes of innocence
and childhood and the idea that as adults we
are striving more and more to regain those
precious childhood ideals. The works were
featured in the online COFA magazine as well
as the Dymocks building magazine and
Australian Art Review (Oct 2008). A selection
of the work was also exhibited at Saatchi and
Saatchi Sydney (my first solo show-thanks!)
as well as Art Sydney 2007 and Hip Pop 2007
which took place at United Galleries East Sydney.
